Some people are naturally brave when it comes to fashion, they embrace the latest looks with confidence and make whatever ‘look’ they’re going for work for them. Take a walk along Oxford Street in London and you will see a throng of fashionista’s sporting the latest hairstyles: sometimes short, sometimes bleached and sometimes even with sections shaved. Some people choose to wear the latest high heels which require a whole new attitude towards walking. Whereas, others brave the latest skinny trousers or micro-mini skirts. But what if you don’t have the ‘model’ physique for tight clothing or the ‘model’ swagger for gravity-defying heels? Does this mean that you are unable to express your individuality through fashion?
Express yourself
The good news is that we don’t have to just express our individual style through clothing designed for ‘model’ types or hairstyles that look silly on anyone over the ripe old age of 16. There are other ways. Bold accessories are the best way to express yourself. It isn’t cheating – unusual jewellery and hair accessories will still make you look edgy and keep you well ahead in the fashion game.
Bag yourself an unusual accessory
Handbags offer a great way of expressing yourself. Remember: a ladies handbag isn’t just an item used for keeping all of your important treasures safe. A ladies handbag is a fashion accessory in itself. You only need to open up the latest celebrity magazine to see famous women sporting current styles for this point to really hit home.
Try experimenting with different colours and see what interesting looks you can create. Patterned and textured bags can also be a welcome relief from plainer styles – jazz up a classic outfit with a bold patterned handbag and an arm full of clashing bangles.
Play with different shapes too. Structured handbags can make a seemingly normal outfit appear edgy, whereas slouchy hobo handbags can make you look effortlessly cool when worn with the right clothing.
Be experimental and above all be brave – you can afford to be with a ladies handbag. If your handbag doesn’t work with a particular outfit then play around until you get it right. Wear with confidence and don’t forget to smile!
